*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION ***
The Building Code of Australia (BCA) changed on 1st of May 2011.
This brought with it many new requirements for Braille & tactile signs, such as including
the requirement for a more concise description in tactile.
(ie: Male toilet went from displaying "Toilet" as tactile lettering to "Male Toilet").
Don't be caught by suppliers that fail to update their stock to reflect the new requirements.
Shapemakers guarantees that our Pictobraille range of Braille & tactile signage is compliant
with both the Building Code of Australia specification D3.6 and the Australian Standards
AS1428.1 (2009 - 2010 Amdt 1).

*** Very important note for customers. ***
There is a degree of confusion about what signs you are
allowed to install on your individual jobs due to the changes to the BCA.
The explaination for this is as follows:
The advice we have received from our building certifier consultant is:
If your building application was lodged with the building certifier/surveyor
prior to the 1st May 2011, then your signs will be assessed under the 2010
BCA rules and therefore, it is permissable to use our old style signs.
All building work assessed under the BCA 2011 (after 1st May 2011) must comply
with the new access standards. Refer to our current online store product range.
